More travel blogs from Chris Wills
Travels in the Pankisi valley - After an amazing trip to Tusheti in 2008 my wife and I returned to Georgia but this time to the Pankisi Valley. More horses and a few shepherds. This simple blog illustrates some of the rural wonders to be found in a rarely visited region.

Travels in Hutsulshchyna - In the summer of 2011 my wife traveled to South West Ukraine to a remote region called Hutsulshchyna. This was the first time we had travelled without our daughters. Although short, this trip proved adventures are still to be had while travelling on horseback.

Travels in Maramures -After Hutsulshchyna my wife and I travelled over the border to Maramures in Northern Romania. This account is about the people and places we discovered during our travels around the very special region.

Travels in Macahel - Another Blog in a similar vein but this time looking at a region in the Lesser Caucuses on the Georgian /Turkish border.
Travels in Macahel or Machakeheli as it is sometimes known on the Turkish side is yet another account of a journey undertaken by my family on horseback. I still have loads of work to do but you may find it interesting. www.travelsinmacahel.blogspot.com/

Travels in Yunnan - During Christmas and New Year of 2008/9 we made a breathtaking trip to South Yunnan in China. If you like ponies, people and mountains this is an account of the tribes we stayed with and world we discovered.
Building a community center in Shenako
A while back I was asked to deliver a talk about Tusheti in London. The Georgian Ambassador was the first speaker and after the event we chatted about Tusheti. As a result of our conversation I decided to spend this year raising money to rebuild the old school house in Shenako which now stands just over at $4,280

The linguist, Alexander Bainbridge, writes about his favourite Dadaloba
Alex attended the Batsbi religious festival this summer in 2010, held in the meadows of Tsovata. Alex makes some interesting comparisons between previous visits, clearly demonstrating his passion for the Batsbi people.
